My name is Chris Miles and I’m the owner of BC Stone and Floor Care. The BC branding was established in 2016 and since 2018 we have been mastering the craft of stone and hard surface restoration. We have completed training with some of the leading business trainers and suppliers in the industry. We continue to work alongside these organisations to offer the most up-to-date cleaning restoration and protection for our customers.

Chris came out initially to survey and advise on the process, he arrived on time as arranged, the quote was very prompt.

Marble polishing job up north that Chris shared on the FB story earlier this week, working alongside Paul Hemmings Floor Restoration on his project. The marble floor had just been newly installed.
We started with metal pads to flatten the surface, followed by two stages of copper, four stages of resin, then powder polishing. Finished with Faber MM and densifier, sealed with stone soap.
All steps were completed by hand using a dry diamond polishing process to perfectly match the floor finish.
The result was a glass-like, mirror-reflective finish with a deep natural shine.

A little throwback to a project we completed just before Christmas — a Chinese slate floor in Burbage, Leicestershire. We’d planned to share this sooner, but after being without internet since New Year’s Eve, we’re finally catching up on some of our recent work.....😮💨
Over time, several layers of sealer had built up. Instead of protecting the slate, they were dulling the surface and making the floor harder to keep clean. Slate is a natural material, and when old coatings fail, they can trap dirt rather than repel it.
We began by carefully stripping back the existing sealers, using a combination of specialist processes and chemicals chosen specifically for slate. Once removed, the floor was deep cleaned and fully neutralised, which is a crucial step to ensure no residues remain that could affect the new finish.
With the slate properly prepared, we then applied fresh coats of sealer, restoring depth to the natural colour while providing long-term protection and easier day-to-day maintenance.
A perfect example of what restoration can achieve!
