We completed a full kitchen surface makeover for the natural stone in Stoughton, Leicestershire, restoring both the granite worktops and the travertine floor.
The granite worktops had lost their natural reflective finish through everyday use. We carried out a deep clean followed by mechanical polishing using the Faber Star Shine Easy system to safely restore the surface gloss. Once polished, the granite was sealed to improve stain resistance and long-term protection. A number of small edge chips were also repaired and resin-filled to create a seamless finish.
At the same time, we restored the travertine kitchen floor, carrying out a full deep clean to remove ingrained soiling from both the stone and grout lines. A small hole within the stone was repaired and colour-matched before the entire floor was sealed. Photos coming soon...

We’ve just finished a really rewarding quarry tile restoration in Bedworth before the Easter break.
The customer wasn’t sure if the floor could be restored. The tiles had lost their colour and looked tired from years of use, and like many old quarry floors, the vibrancy had faded over time.
We carried out a full deep clean to carefully lift the built-up dirt and residues, followed by sealing on the final day to protect the surface and really make those colours pop!
With the weather finally improving, it’s honestly the perfect time of year to restore these types of traditional floors. Warmer, drier conditions really help with the cleaning, drying and sealing stages.
Another reminder that these old quarry tile floors are often far more recoverable than people think.
